Problem
Brewing unit cannot be
securely closed.
Water dripping from the
brewing unit.
Water on the surface
under the cup stand.
The Service T DISC is
damaged or lost.
"Fill water tank" lights

up even though there is
suficient water in the
tank.
"Descale required"

lights up even though you
are using soft water.
Filter cartridge change
indicator is not working

Possible!cause
T DISC Piercing unit
or T DISC holder is not
properly inserted.
The T DISC is not in­
serted properly.
The brewing unit is not
properly closed.
The T DISC is damaged
or leaky.
The piercing unit is
either not inserted or not
inserted properly.
Water from
condensation.
The Service T DISC is
required for the cleaning
cycle and the descaling
cycle.
The loat in the water
tank is stuck.
Even soft water contains
small amounts of dis­
solved lime.
Please proceed as de­
scribed on page 25.
Solution
Insert T DISC holder or T DISC
piercing unit properly.
Re­insert the T DISC and make
sure it is properly positioned.
Push the handle down until it snaps
into place with an audible click.
Clean the brewing system thor­
oughly, especially in the area of the
clamp.
Stop the brewing process. Wait
until the machine is cooled down
before removing the T DISC and
then clean the brewing unit
Check to ensure that the piercing
unit is inserted properly.
Condensation may occur and is not
a fault. Remove it by wiping with a
cloth.
Check the storage compartment
for the Service T DISC at the back
of the appliance.

for contact information.
Clean the water tank and ensure
that the loat can move.
Descale the appliance.
Special descaling agents can
be obtained from www.tassimo.
com, the Bosch customer service
department (article no. 310967, for
contact details, see page 186) or from
your retailer.
