Setting up Progressive Scan
feature
(for Progressive Scan TV only)
The progressive scan displays twice the
number of frames per second than
interlaced scanning (ordinary normal TV
system). With almost twice the number
of lines displayed, progressive scan offers
higher picture resolution and quality.
Before you start...
– Ensure that the recorder is connected
to a progressive scan TV using the Y Pb
Pr connection.
– Ensure that you have completed the
initial installation and set-up.
A
Turn on the TV to the correct viewing
channel for the recorder.

Turn on the recorder and press SETUP
on the remote control.
The system setup menu appears.

Use
keys to select { Video } and
press
.

Use
keys to select { YUV P-Scan }
and press OK.

confi rm your action by pressing OK.
The setup is complete and you can
now enjoy the high quality picture.
Alternatively, select { Cancel } and
press OK to go back to the previous
menu.

To exit the menu, press SETUP.
Helpful Hint:
– Some progressive scan TVs are not fully
compatible with this recorder, resulting in an
unnatural picture when playing back a DVD
VIDEO disc. If this occurs, turn off the
progressive scan feature on both the
recorder and your TV.
