    EEPROM memory back-up, Battery Life displayed on LCD, and a transmit Time-Out Timer (TOT). The HX760S transmitter provides a full 6 Watt of transmit power and also is selectable to 5, 2.5, and 1 Watt to assist the user in ensuring maximum battery life.

    6.10 MEMORY SCAN The HX760S can be programmed to scan channels from a minimum of 2 chan- nels up to all channels in the marine band. If an incoming signal is detected on one of the channels during scan, the radio will pause on that channel, allowing you to listen to the incoming transmission.

    The S.O.S. STROBE feature utilizes the high-intensity strobe LED on the front of the HX760S as a visual distress beacon. When enabled, the LED blinks the internationally-recognized Morse Code “S.O.S.” message ( ... --- ... ) at a rate of 5 words per minute.

    ® 7.1 PAIRING Before you use your BH-2 for the first time, the BH-2 and the HX760S must be paired. 1. Make sure that the BH-2 and HX760S is both off. 2. Hold down the HX760S’s [ SQL ] key, and then turn on the transceiver while still holding down the [ SQL ] key to activate the Menu (“Set”) Mode.

    7.3.2 OPERATION 1. Press and hold the HX760S’s [ POWER ( )] key for two seconds to turn the transceiver on. “ ” icon will blink on the display. 2. Press and hold the BH-2’s POWER ( ) switch until the BH-2’s LED indica- tor glows red, and the beeper sounds a high pitch tone (approximately three seconds).
