The ridge causes loops to be formed when the zigzag
stitch is used. Especially suitable for tailor-tacking.
Further uses: fagotting (imitation hemstitch),
fringe- and terrycloth embroidery, etc.
The 2-mm-deep groove provides for an even fabric
feed when sewing with cordonnet or topstitching
thread. This foot is perfect for sewing and topstitching
with heavy threads, sewing sashiko patterns, and
the like.
For seaming knits and couching thick cords, sequins,
wool, yarn, leather strips, etc. The coded foot has a
guide hole for couching a narrow cord.
It is also used for making and attaching covered
cording. Foot # 12C is dual-purpose, as it also has
the bevelled cutout feature of Braiding foot # 21.
