    User Manual About the Product HomePlug AV is ready to use out of the box and does not require the installation of driver software to work. It can be connected to computers, routers, gaming consoles, hubs, IPTV set-top boxes, and other Ethernet devices regardless of operating system. The built- in push button allows you to have a secure HomePlugAV network without a need to connect your device to a computer for manual configuration.

    User Manual Resetting the Private Network Name Simple Connect allows you to reset the HomePlug AV’s Private Network Name to a random key. When a HomePlug AV is reset to a random key, it will not be able to communicate with any other device. Note: Resetting the Private Network Name is different from resetting the device to its factory default settings.

It is mainly used for changing the Private Network Name, detecting other HomePlug AV’s in the network, and measuring the throughput of devices. A Private Network Name is a string of 8 to 64 characters enables HomePlug AV devices to communicate with each other.
