Basic operation

Functions allocated to the following opera-
tions are different depending on the con-
nected external unit. For details concerning
functions, refer to the connected external
unit's owner's manual.
% Press BAND.
% Press and hold BAND.
% Push MULTI-CONTROL left or right.
% Push and hold MULTI-CONTROL left or
right.
% Push MULTI-CONTROL up or down.
Using the functions allocated
to 1 to 6 keys
% Press any of 1 to 6 on the remote con-
trol.

Advanced operations

Press MULTI-CONTROL to display the
main menu.

Use MULTI-CONTROL to select
FUNCTION.
Turn to change the menu option. Press to se-
lect.

Turn MULTI-CONTROL to select the
function.
Function1 (function 1)—Function2 (function
2)—Function3 (function 3)—Function4 (func-
tion 4)—Auto/Manual (auto/manual)
! You can also turn Function1 on or off by
pressing PGM on the remote control.
Notes
! You can also select the function by pressing
FUNCTION on the remote control.
! To return to the ordinary display, press
BAND.
Turning the clock display
on or off
You can turn the clock display on or off.
! Even when the sources and the feature
demo are off, the clock display appears on
the display.
% Press CLOCK to turn the clock display
on or off.
Each press of CLOCK turns the clock display
on or off.
# The clock display disappears temporarily
when you perform other operations, but the clock
display appears again after 4 seconds.
Note
In the following conditions, the clock display can-
not be turned on or off.
— While displaying three line text information
— While displaying ENT CLOCK (entertainment
clock) (Refer to Using different entertainment
displays on the next page)
Switching the display
indication and button
illumination
Display indication and button illumination can
be switched on or off.
% Press and hold DISP OFF.
Pressing and holding DISP OFF switches the
display indication and button illumination on
or off.
# While the display indication is turned off,
CLOCK/DISP OFF button lights up.
# Even if the display indication is turned off, op-
eration can be conducted. If operation is con-
ducted while the display indication is off, display
will light up for a few seconds and then turn off
again.
