Control units
(cont.)
■ Optolink laptop interface
■ Temperature controller
DIN TR 77708
or
DIN TR 96808
■ High limit safety cut-out
DIN STB 116907
or
DIN STB 98108
■ Operation and fault displays
■ Plug connection chamber
– Connection of external equipment via a system plug
– Connection of three-phase consumers via additional contactors
Programming unit:
■ Display of temperatures and faults
■ Setting of codes via the programming unit display
■ Keys:
– Program selection
– Boiler water and DHW temperature
Functions
■ Control of the boiler water temperature (= system flow temperature)
to the preset value
■ Electronic maximum and minimum temperature limit
■ Anti-seizing pump protection
■ Integral diagnostic system
■ Flue gas temperature monitoring with flue gas temperature sensor
■ Maintenance display
■ Only for single boiler systems:
– Adaptive cylinder thermostat with priority control (heating circuit
pump OFF)
– Auxiliary function for DHW heating (short-term heating to a higher
temperature)
– Control of a primary store system with mixer assembly (only avail-
able as an alternative to the control of a constant return tempera-
ture raising facility with a regulated three-way valve)
■ Optional connection of external fault messaging
■ With boiler protection function subject to boiler/system version:
– Therm-Control start-up system
– Shunt pump control
– Control of a constant return temperature raising facility with a
regulated three-way valve (only available as an alternative to the
control of a primary store system with mixer assembly)
Control characteristics
■ P-characteristics with two-point output when using a burner with
multiple stages
PI characteristics with three-point output for modulating burners, if
installed
■ Thermostat for limiting the max. boiler water temperature:
95 °C, adjustable to 100 °C
■ Adjusting the high limit safety cut-out:
110 °C, adjustable to 100 °C
■ Set boiler water temperature setting range:
20 up to 100 °C (lower switching point subject to boiler/boiler coding
card)
■ Range of the set DHW temperature:
10 to 60 °C; can be changed to 10 to 95 °C
Boiler coding card
For matching to the boiler (supplied with the boiler).
Setting heating programs
The frost protection of the boiler and DHW cylinder applies to all heat-
ing programs.
OIL/GAS BOILERS
You can select the following operating programs with the program
keys:
■ For single boiler systems
– Heating and DHW
– Only DHW
– Standby mode
■ On multi-boiler systems
– Heating and DHW
– Standby mode
Summer mode
(Only for single boiler systems; "DHW only")
The burner starts only when the DHW cylinder needs reheating (con-
trolled by the cylinder thermostat).
The respective low-end boiler water temperature of each boiler is
maintained if necessary.
External demands
(in conjunction with external control units)
■ Boiler enable/butterfly valve control
■ Starting burner stage 1
■ Starting burner stages 1 and 2
A zero volt contact must be provided for each demand.
