snom 220 additional Keypad
This expansion module is designed for use or connection with the VoIP phone snom 220.
Please observe the instructions in the snom 220 user manual.
Installation procedure
Unplug the power connector from the snom 220 phone
Place the telephone and the additional keypad upside down on a soft surface so that you can
read nameplates from the front (see fi gure). The additional keypad must be placed to the
left of the telephone. The fi xing holes in the additional keypad must be positioned over the
corresponding screw domes on the telephone (3).
Secure the additional keyboard to the telephone with the studs supplied (3)
Connect the connection cable (4) as shown in the fi gure and secure it under the cable holder
(5).
Fasten the support (8).
Now turn the telephone and additional keypad over and set them on the rubber supports.
Plug in the power connector of your phone. LEDs on the keypad will fl ash. Wait for the snom
220 to boot completely. All LEDs will turn off. The additional keypad is immediately ready for
operation.
The very fi rst additional keypad connected to the snom 220 gets its power from the phone
and does not need an external power adapter.
THE PHONE POWER SUPPLY IS 48V, which is different from the keypad power
supply. It will damage the keypad if accidentally plugged into the keypad.
DO NOT connect the phone power supply to the keypad!
Programming the additional keyboard
Configure the function keys on the extension board using the built-in web interface of the
phone. These keys can be used for Line, Destination, Intercom, Park Orbit, or Voice Recorder
mapping. The default operation is Line. The LEDs associated with each key will reflect the status of
that line, e.g. ringing, on-hold, connected call, etc.
Changing the label
The label panels for the function keys are included on a separate sheet enclosed with the
