operating instructions. Cut out the label you wish to use. To change the label panel, press the
flexible cover together between your index finger and thumb and lift it out. The label panel can
now be changed.
Connecting further keyboards (cascading)
Up to three additional keypads can be connected (cascaded) to your telephone. A plug-in
power supply is required if you use more than one additional keypad. Use only the approved
power supply units available as accessory (plug-in power supply unit t400/Ident-Nummer:
220872.5, plug-in power supply unit t400-UK/Ident-Number: 220873.3).

Installation procedure

Unplug the power connector from the snom 220 phone.
Proceed as described for the telephone and fi rst additional keypad, i.e., turn them upside
down and place the second additional keypad to the left of the fi rst one.
Affi x the additional keyboard at the positions (10) marked in the illustration. Plug the
connecting cord into the left jack (7) of the fi rst additional keypad and into the right jack
of the new module. If you add a third additional keypad, attach it to the second one in
the same manner.
Plug the keypad power supply into the appropriate jack for the second additional keypad.
DO NOT connect a separate power supply to the third additional keypad; it takes its
power from the second one.
Finally, plug in the POWER connector of your snom 220 phone. LEDs on all connected
keypads will fl ash.
Wait for the snom 220 to boot completely. All LEDs will turn off. The additional keypads
are immediately ready for operation.
When you perform soft reset on the phone there is no need to disconnect the power
upply on the second cascaded keypad.
THE PHONE POWER SUPPLY IS 48V, which is different from the keypad power
supply. It will damage the keypad if accidentally plugged into the keypad. DO
NOT connect the phone power supply to the keypad.
