To Upgrade the SMS Software

When to use
Use this procedure to upgrade the SMS to the current software release.
Before you begin
Before you begin this procedure, it is recommended that you perform a manual backup of
the Primary SMS database in the event of a system failure during the upgrade installation.
For instructions on how to perform a manual backup of the SMS database, refer to the
Manual Backup section of the SMS Administration Guide.
Should you need to restore the backed up Primary SMS database, refer to the To Restore
SMS Data on a Primary SMS section in the SMS Administration Guide.
Procedure
Complete the following steps to upgrade the SMS to the current software release.

Log in as user

With the CD-ROM in the drive and a terminal window displayed, enter:

cd /cdrom/cdrom0/Solaris
The system changes to the directory on the CD-ROM that contains the
