If there is not enough memory to
take a new photo or record a video
clip, you need to free some by
deleting old photos or other files
from the Gallery. Note that the
camera uses shared memory, see
"Shared memory"
on page xi.

Taking a photo

1. Press Menu, select
select
Standard
photo
or
Night mode
lighting is dim for taking photos.
If you want to add the photo to a
name/phone number saved in
Contacts, select
Tip: To quickly open the
viewfinder in standby mode
with standard photo view,
move the joystick up.
2. The image appears on the display,
and you can use the display as a
viewfinder.
3. To take a photo, press Capture.
The phone saves the photo in the
Images
folder of the
menu. The saved photo will be
shown on the display.
Select
Back
to take another
photo, or press
select, for example, an option to
rename or zoom in on the photo,
set it as wallpaper, send it as a
multimedia message, or attach
the photo to a name or phone
number in
Contacts
the gallery.

To open the viewfinder options,
press
Options
and select, for
example, an option to set the
desired operation mode, activate
the self-timer, or access the
gallery.
Tip: You can activate the self-
timer of the camera for one
picture at a time. To open the
viewfinder in standby mode,
move the joystick up, select
Options
and Self-timer. Press
Start
and, after the timeout,
the camera takes the photo
and saves it in the
menu. While the self-timer is
running, a beeping sound is
heard.

Recording a video clip

Press Menu, and select Camera,
Video
and press Record. The red
indicator and the remaining
recording time are shown at the top
of the display.
• To stop the recording, press
and the video clip is saved in the
Video clips
folder of the
menu.
