Run position. Once the black/white power wire is connected to the accessory wire, the SDVK1 Plug-7-Play
can be powered on with the vehicle running or with the key in the Accessory position.
Connecting the FM Relay Switch
The FM Relay Switch is used to route sound output of the receiver through the FM tuner of your radio. It is
used when the radio in the vehicle does not have an auxiliary input that can accept RCA-type audio cable
connections. When the receiver is powered on, the FM Relay Switch disconnects the vehicle's antenna from
the vehicle's radio allowing only the SIRIUS signal to be routed to the radio.
To install the FM Relay Switch:
1. Remove the radio from the dash of the vehicle and disconnect the antenna cable from the rear of the radio.
2. Plug the antenna cable of the FM Relay Switch into the back of the radio.
3. Plug the vehicle's antenna cable (which was disconnected from the vehicle's radio) into the FM Relay Switch.
4. Plug the mini-connector of the FM Relay Switch into the FM Out connection on the receiver.
5. Choose a frequency on the FM band of the vehicle radio that has little or no reception from a local FM station.
6. Choose the same frequency from the FM Frequency menu of the receiver. This will allow the SIRIUS signal to
be played through the frequency selected on the vehicle's radio.
