I replaced the battery and now the mileage and miles per hour is off. It seems to be about one and half times more than it should be. It is on M/H.

If the mileage and miles per hour readings on the Planet Bike Protege 9.0 are inaccurate after replacing the battery, follow these steps to fix the issue:

1. Reset the Computer: After replacing the battery, the device may need to be reset. Hold the appropriate buttons (usually both buttons simultaneously) to reset the unit.

2. Re-enter Wheel Size: The computer relies on the correct wheel size setting to calculate speed and distance accurately. Check the manual for the correct method to input your wheel size in millimeters (typically based on tire diameter and width).

3. Check Sensor and Magnet Alignment: Ensure the sensor on the fork and the magnet on the wheel spoke are properly aligned and within the recommended distance (usually 1-3 mm). Misalignment can lead to incorrect readings.

4. Ensure Secure Battery Installation: A loosely installed battery may cause erratic data. Make sure the battery is seated properly and the contacts are clean.

5. Verify Unit Settings: Check if the device is set to the correct unit of measurement (miles or kilometers), as incorrect settings may cause discrepancies.

6. Test the Device: Spin the wheel and check if the speed reading appears correctly. Compare with another device or a known distance to verify accuracy.

If the problem persists, consider resetting the unit again or replacing the battery with a fresh one.
