Connecting external power amplifiers
If you want to increase
the power
output to the speakers,
or want to use another
power
amplifier,
connect
an
external
amplifier
to the pre out jacks.

Connecting external preamplifiers
If you want to input signals
from another
preamplifier,
connect
the external
preamplifier
to the FRONT
IN/
CENTER
IN jacks.
• When RCA pin plugs are connected to the pre out jacks for
output to an external amplifier, it is not necessary to use the
corresponding
SPEAKERS terminals. Set the volume of the
amplifier connected to this unit to the maximum.
• The signal output through the FRONT OUT, CENTER OUT
and SUBWOOFER jacks is affected by the TONE CONTROL
settings.
• Signals will only be output from the FRONT OUT jacks if
SPEAKERS B is set to 'ZONE B"(see page 84) and
SPEAKERS A is turned off (see page 84).

amplifier.
Connecting i.LINK components
If you have a component
with an i.LINK
connector,
you
can enjoy digital
audio from CD, DVD, Super Audio
CD
or DVD-A
discs.

i.LINK component
• Adjust the volume level of the subwoofer with the control on
the subwoofer. It is also possible to adjust the volume level
using this unit's remote control (see page 76).
• Some signals may not be output from the SUBWOOFER jack
depending on the Speaker Set (see page 74) and LFE Level (see
page 70) settings.
