Saving new preference
_(_mcan save the PICTURE qu_ities (contrast, brightness, color, tint,
and sharpness) you adjusted in the picture preference mode.
"lb save your new preferences:
1. Press MENU, and then press "9 or _ until the PICTURE menu
appears.
2. Press A or • to highlight SAVE NEW PREFERENCE.
3. Press "9 or _. When complete, the menu displays "DONE."

The mode automatically change m PREFERENCE (see "Selecting the
pictttre mode" on p_e 41).
You can choose your saved preferences any time by selecting
PREFERENCE mode in the PICFURE menu (see "Selecting the
picture mode" on page 41).
Using the ALS {Automatic Light Sensor} feature
ALS senses the mum ambient light and automatically adjusts the
picture contrast for varying light conditions. For example, when the
mum is dark, the ALS will automatically reduce the contrast (which
reduces eye strain). ALS is activated when the ALS menu is set to ON.
"lb activate the ALS:
1. Press MENU, and then press "9 or _ until the PICTURE menu
appears.
2. Press A or • to highlight ALS.
3. Press "9 or _ to highlight ON. The CONTRAST setting changes
to AUTO, and is not adjustable while the ALS feature is on.

Highlight OFF in step 3 above.
Note:
The CONTRASTadjustment in the PICTURE
menu is not available when ALS is ON.
