    Observe all governing codes and ordinances. Installation Requirements Location Your washer must be installed on firm flooring to minimize vibration during spin cycles. Concrete flooring is best, but wood base is sufficient providing the floor support meets FHA standards. Your washer should not be installed on rugs or exposed to the weather.

  • Page 7 Step 3 Drain Hose Carefully pull the drain hose out from the back of the washer by pulling the exposed part of the hose downwards and then out. The hose guide is used to guide the drain hose over the tub or standpipe.
  • Page 8 Leveling the Washer Insert the four rubber leveling feet inserts into the feet on the base of the washer. (See diagram 1). Move the washer into its final position. We suggest a minimum clearance of 1” (25mm) on each side for ease of installation.

    Turn hot and cold water faucets off when washer is not in use. Special Instructions The washer may give warning signals when low water pressure, or drain problems are encountered. See ‘If your Intuitive beeps for help’ (page 36). If further help is needed concerning this appliance, refer to Service, page 40.

    Installation Instructions Special Requirements for Alcove or Closet Installation The minimum ventilation clearance between the washer and adjacent walls or other surfaces is: 1” (25mm) minimum either side and front 3” (75mm) minimum rear Consideration must be given to providing adequate clearance for installation and servicing.

    Important Safety Instructions Read all Safety Information Before Using Many washers are located near a gas dryer or a water heater in the home. For your safety the information in this manual must be followed to minimize the risk of fire or explosion or to prevent property damage, personal injury or loss of life.

    Connect to adequate plumbing and drain facilities as described in the Installation Instructions. Turn off water faucets when the washer is not in use to relieve pressure on hoses and valves and to minimize leakages if a hose or valve should break or rupture.

    Dispose of discarded appliances and shipping/packing materials properly. Before discarding a washer, or removing from service, remove the washer lid. Do not leave the washer lid up during the cycle. This will stop the spin action and prevent completion of the cycle. To restart, close lid and press START/PAUSE.

    Getting Started Quickly Remove the fabric softener dispenser. Place load evenly around the agitator. A. Add Detergent Add detergent down the center of the agitator stem. Replace fabric softener dispenser. If you wish to use fabric softener place in the fabric softener dispenser on top of the agitator.

    F. Display Screen This shows you which options you have selected (and/or any Lifecycle you may have chosen). The display screen also shows what the machine is doing and how long the wash has to go, to keep you informed throughout the cycle. G.

    Fabric Care AUTO SENSING Put your clothes into your Intuitive washer and push START/PAUSE. Auto sensing will sense the average fabric mix of your load and select the right wash action to get the best wash results. For a normal wash load we suggest the medium soil level.

    Wash 1 – Detergent Activating Wash (Front Loader Type Wash) Your Intuitive washer fills the tub, at the selected temperature, with just enough water so that your clothes are 100% saturated. This small amount of sudsy water flows through the clothes, up a specially designed portal and back onto the clothes in a cascade effect.

    Lidlock Your Intuitive has a lidlock, which locks when your machine is spinning. This ensures the lid cannot be opened during hazardous parts of the cycle, providing added safety for you and your family. A Lidlock symbol (padlock) appears in the corner of the screen when locked (it disappears when unlocked), letting you know at a glance if you can open the lid or not.

    Time To Go Your Intuitive washer will display what stage of the cycle the machine is at and how many minutes the wash cycle has to go, so you can tell at a glance when your washing will be finished.

    3. Save Water Use the SAVE WATER option when you want to minimize the amount of water used. The rinse type your washer will choose depends on the type of fabric you are washing. There are two Save Water options. SAVE WATER and ECO (SAVE WATER++).

    DRIP DRY pauses the washer at the end of the rinse allowing you to remove drip-dry garments before the wash goes into final spin. The washer will beep and display a message to tell you that it is waiting for another instruction.

    10. Traditional Wash Your Intuitive washer can be set to a ‘traditional’ top loading wash, where the clothes are agitated in a bowl full of water at the temperature you have selected.

    S2 Auto Water Level Adjustment If you are not satisfied with the water level that your Intuitive washer fills to on auto water level, you can increase or decrease the fill level that auto will select.

  • Page 24: Creasable Spin Speed, Out Of Balance Recovery

    S5 Out of Balance Recovery When your washer is spinning it can sense when the wash load is out of balance and will stop and retry spinning up to three times. If the machine still senses an unbalanced load there are two options the machine can take.

    Lifecycles Your Intuitive has a range of special lifecycles to make washing even easier. Push the LIFECYCLES button. Use the OPTIONS button to scroll through the five lifecycle menus, or you can press the lifecycles button repeatedly. Use the ADJUST button to select a lifecycle. Press HOME to return to the main screen.

    Lifecycles L2 Family Cycles DIAPER RINSE A cycle for rinsing diaper sanitisers from cloth diapers. A slow spin, deep rinse, and a spray rinse. (See information on Diaper Sanitisers/Bleach in Washing Difficult Items page 31). COMFORTER Comforters are difficult items to wash as they are bulky and often float out of the water during the wash (See Washing Bulky Items page 31).

    Lifecycles L3 Sport Cycles SWEATY The clothes you exercise in require a little extra care to remove the odors and dirt that tend to penetrate into the fabric structure. This cycle incorporates a warm/hot wash with a fast spin to clean sweaty sports clothes.

    Lifecycles L4 Stain Cycles There are a number of stains that need special treatments due to their unique compositions. Some water temperatures actually set stains rather than removing them. Use these Lifecycles to care for these specific stains. CHOCOLATE Chocolate is a complex mixture of fats, proteins and sugars. Initially the stain is treated with a warm/hot Eco Active™...

    If you regularly use fabric softener, (refer to Scrud page 33), or only wash in cold water we recommend that you put your washer through a Tub Clean cycle 2–4 times a year. This cycle has a hot Eco Active™ wash, a hot agitate and a 2-hour soak.

    Chenille Terry cloth Before Washing Check Pockets Loose items can damage both your washer and your clothes. Close Zippers, Hooks and Eyes To make sure that these items do not snag on other clothes. Mend any Torn Garments Tears or holes may become larger during washing. Remove any loose bra wires as they can damage your washing machine and/or dryer.

    Check the care label. Use a wool detergent. Use the WOOL option. Hand washed woollens may be spun in your washer. To dry woollens lie them flat on a towel and pat into shape. Dry out of direct sunlight. Some wool underlays and sheepskin products can be washed in a washing machine but may produce excessive amounts of lint that may cause pump blockages.

    Detergent Choosing the Right Detergent We recommend the use of domestic detergents, (powder, liquid or tablets). Soap flakes, or granulated soap powders should not be used. Some detergents that contain built-in fabric softeners may not be suitable for your Intuitive, as they can leave a deposit on the agitator and the outer tub.

    Scrud Scrud is the name given to the waxy build-up that can occur within any washer when the fabric softener comes into contact with detergent. This build-up is not brought about by a fault in the machine. If scrud is allowed to build-up in the machine it can result in stains on your clothes or an unpleasant smell in your washer.

    The agitator must be fully pushed on to the shaft when refitting. Tighten the plastic nut firmly by hand. Ensure the agitator is not loose. Cleaning the Inside of your Washer If you use fabric softener or only do cold water washes, it is important that you occasionally clean the inside of your machine.

    Caring for your Intuitive Sounds and Beeps Your Intuitive washer will make sounds that you will not have heard from other autowashers. Filling If your autowasher alternates filling and agitating, when AUTO SENSING is selected, it is checking that it has the right amount of water for the clothes load.

    WASH WATER Temperature is not warm. The Intuitive washer fills in two stages. The first phase of the wash fills with water at the temperature you have selected. The second phase of the wash uses cool water to finish the fill, so the final wash water temperature will be much cooler than the temperature you selected.

    Try pre-dissolving the detergent. DYE TRANSFER. Wash and dry non-colorfast clothes separately. Non colorfast clothes left sitting in a washer or laundry basket can transfer dye to other clothes. TANGLING. Washing with too much water (i.e. under-loading) can cause the clothes to tangle.

Vous pouvez remédier à un grand nombre de problèmes par vous-même en suivant les instructions décrites dans les pages suivantes. Votre machine est capable de diagnostiquer ses propres problèmes. En cas de problème, elle émettra un signal sonore et affichera un message vous indiquant ce qui ne fonctionne pas.
  • Page 73 En cas de signal sonore d’appel à l’aide “I am not getting any WATER” (“Je ne reçois pas d’EAU”) Les robinets ne sont pas ouverts. Les filtres du tuyau d’arrivée d’eau sont peut-être obstrués. Le tuyau est peut-être plié. Le tuyau de vidange est trop bas ou est introduit trop loin dans le tuyau vertical, produisant ainsi un siphonnement de l’eau hors de la machine (Voir les instructions d’installation).

    Problèmes de fonctionnement La machine ne se met pas en marche lorsque j’appuie sur le bouton POWER. L’interrupteur de la prise est-il enclenché? Débranchez la machine. Attendez 60 secondes, puis rebranchez-la et rallumez la prise. Y aurait-il un problème de courant électrique? Essayez de brancher un autre appareil à la même prise. Le remplissage ne s’enclenche pas lorsque j’appuie sur le bouton START/PAUSE.

    Problèmes de lavage Vous trouverez ci-dessous la liste des causes et solutions possibles pour résoudre des problèmes de lavage communs. Le lavage FAIT DES PLIS dans le linge. La laveuse ou la sécheuse est surchargée. Sélectionnez CREASABLES (froissables), ce qui changera le rinçage et sélectionnera un rinçage en pluie, ainsi qu’un essorage plus lent et plus court.

    Problèmes de lavage Le linge de couleur DÉTEINT sur le reste du linge. Lavez et séchez le linge risquant de déteindre séparément. Le linge qui risque de déteindre peut déteindre sur le reste du linge s’il est laissé dans la laveuse ou le panier de linge sale.
