THE SPARK PLUG
1.
Withthe engine off, removethe sparkplug.See Figure15.
NOTE: Replacewith a ChampionRJ19LMspark plug.

Checkthe gap (A, Figure16)with a wiregauge (B). Sparkplug
gap shouldbe 0.030in (0.76ram).If necessary,resetthe gap.
Installand tightenthe sparkplug to the recommended torque(180
Ib-in[20 Nm]).

If you drainthe oil fromthe top oil fill tube, the fueltank mustbe
emptyor fuelcan leakout and resultin a fire or explosion.
Usedoil is a hazardous wasteproductand must be disposedof
properly.Donot discardwith householdwaste.Checkwith your
localauthorities,servicecenter,or dealerfor safe disposal/recycling
facilities.
Remove
Oil
You candrain the oil from the bottomdrain hole,side drainhole,or
from the top oil fill tube.

With engineoff but still warm,disconnectthe sparkplug wire(A)
and keepit awayfrom the sparkplug.See Figure15.
2.
The engineis equippedwith a bottomdrain (B, Figure17)and/or
a side drain (C). Removetheoil drain plug.Drainthe oil into an
approvedcontainer.

Note:Any of the oil drain plugs(D) shownmay be installedin the

3.
After the oil hasdrained,install and tightenthe oil drain plug.
