Cause & Solution
The lens was blocked by a finger or the
hand-strap.
⇒Hold the camera correctly, and make sure the
lens is not obstructed.
The picture was taken at close range.
⇒When the subject is close to the camera, use
the LCD monitor to confirm the composition of
the picture.
This may happen when trying to play back
images on a card recorded with a different digital
camera.
⇒Play back pictures from a card recorded using
this camera.
The image with the number was erased.
⇒This is not a malfunction.
There is no image for the selected mode.
⇒Select a playback mode for which images exist.
When sequential shots or video clips are taken of
a bright subject, vertical stripes may occur on the
LCD monitor and recorded image.
⇒This is not a malfunction.
There is not enough available internal memory or
memory on the card.
⇒Erase unnecessary images. When copying a
card, erase unnecessary images on the card
you wish to copy data to.
⇒Replace the card.
Images are protected.
⇒Remove the protection.
