Location Settings

The settings allow you to turn the Assisted GPS chipset in the
cell phone to "On" or "Off." Setting location to On lets the
network detect the cell phone's geographic location using
Assisted GPS, making some features easier to use. Setting
location to Off disables Assisted GPS, but some features may
still detect the cell phone's whereabouts using cell tower
technology. Assisted GPS is automatically set to On when an
emergency call is placed, then set back to Off when the call is
completed. Except for basic cellular and 911 services, your
location will only be used with your consent.
To set the Location Menu to On or Off:
