6 – Managing Blades
Blade Configuration
The following is an example of the
SANbox #> admin start
SANbox (admin) #> config edit
SANbox (admin-config) #> set config blade io2
A list of attributes with formatting and current values will follow.
Enter a new value or simply press the ENTER key to accept the current value.
If you wish to terminate this process before reaching the end of the list
press 'q' or 'Q' and the ENTER key to do so.
Configuring Blade: IO2 (Current Blade Type=FC4G16)

AdminState (1=Online, 2=Offline, 3=Diag, 4=Down, 5=PwrdOff) [Online]
Finished configuring attributes.
This configuration must be saved (see config save command) and
activated (see config activate command) before it can take effect.
To discard this configuration use the config cancel command.
You can configure multiple I/O blades based on a specified source blade I/O blade
using the Clone Config command. Be sure that the blade type (FC4G16, FC8G16,
or FC10G4) is the same for all I/O blades, otherwise I/O blades with conflicting
blade type configurations will be downed when the configuration is activated.The
following example configures I/O blades IO1–IO7 based on I/O0:
SANbox #> admin start
SANbox (admin) config edit
SANbox (admin) #> clone config blade IO0 IO1-IO7
SANbox (admin-config)#> config save
SANbox (admin)#> config activate
SANbox (admin)#> admin end
Refer to the
parameters. To make temporary changes to the I/O blade administrative state,
enter the
