Setting up your
71/to receive Guide Plus+
Overview
GUIDE PLus+ is a feature that allows you to program your TV to:
Watch: TV wiLL tune to the program automaticaLLy as it is aired. (If necessary, will turn TV on.)
Record: TV wiLLtune cabLe box and/or
VCR to the channeL of the program and make the recording.
The feature also allows you to view on-screen the current program you are watching as weLLas to
browse the other channels to see what else is being broadcast. Advanced features allow you addi-
tionaL options which are avaiLabLewhen the Program Grid Guide is on the 13/screen, LikeVCR PLus+
recording.
Get Information
Ready for the EZ Setup
Priorto the GUIDEPLus+ feature setup, and the VCRand
Cab|e box tests, you wi|{ need to have handythe following
information:
- YourZip or Posta!. C ode.
- Whetheryou receive programsover-the-alr, or subscribe to
a cable service.
- Nameon your cable box, if you have one.
- Nameon your VCR,if you have one.
- CabLe Box output channel number.
(UsuaLLy Locatedon the backof the cable box. If not there
see your cable box owner'smanua[ or cal!.your cable service
providerfor the number.)
Write in Setup Information
(Usea pendt.)

Preview Guide PLus+Options
Go to the Special Features menu andhighLight
the GUIDE PLus+ option. Press the Right arrow
on the remote.
In the "What
would you Uke to do menu", select
View Demo and press ENTER. You will see_on-
screen examples of the options avaiLabLe in the
GUIDE PLus+ feature. Once you are familiar with
the options avaiLabLe, select Setup.
Run Guide Plus+ Setup
With the Setup option highlighted, pressENTER.
Answerthe questionsusingthe answersyou wrote in the
Write in Setup Information box above.
Continue to fi!.!.-inthe information on the Setup menus
which wilt be usedto run the Cab!.e Box and VCR tests.
