OPERATION
WITH DIRECT
CABLE
VIA LOOP
OUT
With your equipment setup in this manner, your television has
the following PIP capabilities:
•
Simultaneously view a video tape playing in the VCR and
a basic cable channel selected by the TV's tuner.
•
Simultaneously view two different channels; one basic
cable channel selected by the TV's tuner and a second ba-
sic cable channel selected by the VCR's tuner.
•
Swap the main picture and the PIP inset.
NOTE:

The cable channels
you can view depends
on the service
you have purchased
from your cable company.
PIP VIEWING
OPTIONS
Viewing
Two Different
Cable Channels
Select Ant/Cable 2 as the
Main Source in the Source
Menu.
• Select Video 1 as the PIP
Source in the Source Menu.
• Select a channel with the
TV's channel selector.
• Press PIP key to activate PIP.
• Set VCR's "I%qVCR* switch
to TV,
• Select a PIP channel using the
tuner in the VCR.
Viewing
a Video Tape
and a Cable Channel
Select Ant/Cable 2 as the
Main Source in the Source
Menu.
Select Video ILas the PIP
Source in the Source Menu.
Select a channel with the
TV's channel selector.
Press PIP key to activate PIP.
Set VCR's TV/VCR* switch
to TV.
Play a tape in the VCR and
view it in the ?IP inset.
(Make sure VCR's TV/VCR*
switch is still :set to TV.)
* May be labeled TV/Video.
