INSPECTING/REPLACING THE DRIVE BELT Belt Tensioner When servicing the snow thrower use only original MTD (Idler Arm) replacement parts. Inspect the drive belt once a year or every 50 hours of operation, whichever comes first, for wear. If the drive belt needs to be replaced, use the following instructions.
REPLACING THE SCRAPER Use only original MTD replacement parts. Place snow thrower on the ground or on work bench. Position unit so vanes and rotor are facing up (Fig. 9).
