QUICK START GUIDE
It you are thmiliar with chain saws, their proper usag< and the saw you purchased is fully assemble&
use this Quick Start Guide to quickly begin using your new Remington brand chain saw.
Oil Squeeze Bulb

Oil Bottle
Pour motor oil (see Filling Oil Tank, page
10, for correct oil type) in oil tank (do not
use standard bar and chain oil). DO NOT
leave oil in tank when not in use.
Switch Lockout Button

Trigger
Use both hands to grip chain saw. Push
lockout button forward with right thumb and
squeeze trigger. Make sure saw is running
at full speed before starting a cut.
Cord /
Hitch Slot
Extension Cord .....
Power
Cord
Connect extension cord to power cord and
power supply. Use built-in cord hitch or
knot method (inset) to secure together. See
Extension Cords tk)rcorrect size.
When chain becomes loose due to stretching,
tension properly. See Saw Chain Tension
Adjustment tk)r correct tensioning of saw
chain.
