_'he camcorder has a wide recording mode that lets you make recordings
:ompatible with the 16X9 format. When 16X9 is activated, the camcorder
ecords black bars at the top and bottom of the picture to produce the wide-
creen effect. This is also known as "letterbox" recording.

Set the POWER switch to CAMERA
MAN.
Press the menu PUSH dial in to
display the menu in the viewfinder.
FOCUS is highlighted.
4. Rotate the menu PUSH dial to
highlight OFF or ON.
• Select ON to record 16X9.

highlight 16X9 and press it in to
display the 16X9 menu.
