Recording from Another VCR
• To copy (dub) tapes, connect
the two VCR's as shown
below. It is preferable to play the original tape on the
same machine that was used to record it, so make it the
"Playback
VCR."
• If you use the VMT670HF
as the Playback VCR, press
the DISPLAY button on the remote control three times
to turn off the on-screen displays.
Otherwise on-screen
displays
will be recorded on the new tape. See (_ on
page 13.
• If the VCR you are using as the Ptayback VCR is
monaural, connect the audio from it to either AUDIO IN
jack on the Recording VCR.
PLAYBACK VCR
• The connections from the recording
VCR to your TV
are the ones you normally use. Make the connections
between the two VCR's as shown in the drawing.
Use
shielded audio and video cables, such as RCA AHOO2
(audio/video)
and RV016 (stereo audio).

• Prepare the Recording
VCR to record
by following
Steps

in the diagram
below.
Do not
start recording
yet.
• Now set up your Playback VCR to play the program you
want to copy and start playing
it. The playback
will
appear on your TV.
• Adjust the Tracking
Control (if any) on the Playback
VCR as necessary.
• Cue the tape to the start of the program
you want to
copy and put the VCR in PAUSE.
• Start recording
by pressing
both PLAY and RECORD
on the Recording
VCR (Step
_)
below).
Start playback
on the Playback
VCR by pressing
its
PAUSE button again.
Continue with Steps

and

below.
Use the PAUSE
button

i_) ) only for brief
pauses. If you want to pause for more than three or four
minutes,
stop the VCR by pressing
STOP, When you
are ready to resume, press both PLAY and RECORD.
If you don't want to monitor the dubbing, you can watch
something
else on TV by pressing
the VCR/TV button
on the Recording
VCR (VCR light off).
