    SATELLITE SYSTEM SETUP With this setup, the VCR turns on an RCA, ProScan, or GE digital satellite receiver and tunes it to the desired channel at the start time of a timer recording. Position the satellite receiver on top of the VCR as shown in the Connections section.

  • Page 22 REMOTE VCR1/VCR2 OPTION If you own a compatible RCA, GE, or ProScan remote that has a VCR20 VCR2.LD, or VCR2eDVD button, this feature allows you to set this VCR to respond to that button. Press 1 to select the Remote Control item. Then press the VCR2, VCR2-LD, or VCR2oDVD button to change.

    INFO ('HAN SEARCH TV Turns on a compatible RCA, ProScan0or GE TV and sets the remote to control the TV. Also used with the OFF button to turn on a different brand of TV (if programmed) and sets the remote to control the TV.

    STOPPING A TIMER RECORDING To stop or cancel a timer recording in progress (even an express recording): • Press and hold the STOP button for a few seconds.     If your VCR viewing channel is 3 or 4, make sure the VCR indicator appears in the VCR's display panel. If not, press TVoVCR to turn it on. Use the SPEED button on the remote to select a recording speed. The tape speed indicator appears on the TV screen.

    FRAME ADVANCE Frame advance lets you view one-stop action frame after another during playback. Frame advance works best for tapes recorded at the SP or SLP speed. Press PAUSE to "freeze" the action. Press F.ADV each time you want to view a frame of the scene. PressPAUSE or PLAY to return to normal playback.

    GO-TO SEARCH The Go-To search feature enables the VCR to quickly locate a counter reading anywhere on the tape. When the VCR locates GO-TO SEARCH the counter reading, it will begin playback.     TV. The coaxial cable supplied with your VCR is used to connect the VCR's OUT TO TV jack and your TV's antenna input. Audio/Video Jacks and Cables (RCA-type) The audio/video jacks provide very good picture and sound quality, and can be used if your TV has audio/video input jacks.
