Closed Caption Modes
CC1: full translation of the primary
language in your area
CC2: secondary language translation,
simplified English, or whatever is being
broadcast in your area
Screen Menu
The S('_'e_z menu contains the controls that let you
adjust the
closed-caption displa}; closed-caption
mode, _md mentl language.
CC (Closed-Caption) Display Lets you choose tile way closed caption information is shown on the
screen. Use the MENU button to toggle between the following:
Off No closed caption information displayed.
On Closed caption inf'ormation shown alw:_ys, when available.
On When Muted Displays closed caption information, when available, whenever )_u press the
MUTE button. The closed caption information is not displayed when the sound is not muted.
CC (Closed-Caption) Mode Lets you choose which closed caption mode is used for displaying closed
caption infbrmation. Use the MENU button to toggle between the choices: CCI and CC2.
Not all programs are encoded with closed caption information. When a program is closed captioned, the
letters CC are displayed trader the Chamiel Marker.
Menu Language Lets you select the language of your choice: English, French, or Spanish. Use the
MENU button to toggle between the choices.
