BEFORE YOU S TART

GENERAL
RECOMMENDATIONS
If connected t o a foodwastedisposer,
make certainthe disposeris empty
beforestartingthe dishwasher. >"
Scrapeoff tomato-based food soils
(see page8).
> Removecertainfoods (suchas mus-
tard, mayonnaise, l emon juice, vine-
gar,salt or dressings)from stainless
steel flatware as soon as possible.
These foods may causerustingand
pittingif allowed to remainin contact
withthe surface for an extended peri-
od oftime.
Place all items in the racks so they
are separatedand facingcenter.
Itemscan be centeredbehinda single
tineor loadedat an angle to maximize
space.
Loaditemssothey do notrest overthe
top of thewashtower.
Avoid blocking the upper and lower
spray arms by not allowing items to
extendbeyondthe racks.

UPPER RACK

Glasses, cups, stemware, light-weight
plastics, small plates, bowls, pans, long-
handledutensilsetc. can be loaded in this
rack.Do not load glassesover the tines.
TheStack-Rack (selectmodels) on theright

loading flexibility. Foldit downto holdlong-
handledknives, spatulas and spoonsor
short _ tems likecups orjuiceglasses. Foldit
upfortaller itemslike glasses, bowls, plates,
etc.
The Vari-Lock"Snugger(selectmodels)
on the left secures lightweight items in
place.It can be adjusted by grasping the
wavywireand rotating it lefttosnugitems
against t he outerrack or to the hghtto rest
on top of lightitems. D o not load itemson
top of the wire.

Rack (selectmodels)is designed to hold
stemware in place.Tallerstemware willfit
better on therightsideas theupper rackis
deeperon this side.

The Adjustable Upper Rack can be
raisedto accommodate t allerplates,plat-
ters,pans,etc.loadedin thelowerrack.
Toraisetherack:
>" Pull the rack fully out.
Graspthe handleon the rear dghtside
of the rack.
>- Lift andpulltherack slightlyforwardto
lockup intoplace.
Tolowerthe rack:
>- Pull the rackfully out.
>- Graspthe handleon the rearrightside
of the rack.
>- Lift and push the rack slightty back to
lock back downinto place.
