HOWTO USE
STEAM CYCLES
STEAM cycles include the STEAM
FRESH__,ALLERGtENETM, S ANITARY,
BRIGHT WHITES TM,BULKY/
LARGE, PERM.PRESS, COTTON/
NORMAL, HE:AVYDUTY a_;dTOWELS cycles. Addng
the Steam option to these cyces provides superior
cleaning performance whle reduc ng energy and water
consumption.
By using a hot steam spray from above and
cooler water below, fabrics, get the cleaning
benefits of a super hot wash, without the energy
u_ge or potential damage to fabrics.
TO Add STEAM to a Standard Cycle:
O urn on the washer and turn the cycle
selector knob to select a cycle with the
STEAM option.
O ress the STEAM button. The washer will
automatically adiust the cycle settings.
O Set any options
other desired
O ress the START!PAUSE button to start the
cycle. The washer will start automatically.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the door duHn 9 steam cycles.
The door surface can become very hot,
Allow _e door lock to re_ease before
opening the door.
Do not attempt to override the door leek
mechanism or reach into the washer during a
steam cycle. Steam can cause severe burns.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT STEAM CYCLES:
o Steam may not be clearly visible during the
steam cycles. This is normal Too mush steam
could damage clothing.
o Do not use steam with delicate fabrics such as
wool, silk, or easily discolored fabrics.
• Do not touch the door.
Using the Steam Fresh" Cycle
Steam Fresh TMuses the power of steam alone
to quickly reduce wrinkles and odor in fabrics_ It
brings new life to wrinkled clothes that have been
stored for an extended time and makes heavily
wrinkled clothes easier to iron. Steam Fresh TMcan
also be used to help reduce odors in fabrics_
To Use the Steam Fresh" Cycle:
O Turn on the washer and turn the cycle
selector knob to select the Steam Fresh'_
cycle.

Load up to 5 items and close the door.
NOTE: If there is any moisture inside the
drum, such as from a previous wash cycle,
wipe the drum dry with a towel before
adding clothes.
Press the STEAM button until the correct
number of items is shown in the display.
No other options need to be set_
O ress the START!PAUSE button to start the
cycle.
After the Steam Fresh TMcycle is complete, the
washer will tumble the clothes for up t:o 30
minutes to prevent rewrinMing.
After removing clothes from the Steam FreshTM
cycle, they may feel slightly damp. Place
clothes on a hanger for at least 10 minutes to
allow them to dry.
• The Steam Fresh TMcycle is not recommended
for use with 100% cotton clothing.
o Remove stains from clothing before using the
Steam Fresh TMcycle; the high heat could cause
stains to set permanentiy.
• Do not use Steam Fresh TMwith the following
items : wool, blankets, leather jackets, silk,
wet clothes, lingerie, foam products, or electric
b lan kets.
o Best results are achieved when articles are of
similar size and fabric type. Do not overload.
SPEED WASH CYCLE
Use the Speed Wash cycle to quickly wash lightly
soiled clothing and small load. For high wash and
rinse efficiency, it is recommended to wash small
loads of 2°3 lightly soiled garments.
NOTE: Use a little detergent in this cycle. If you
want more rinsing, you can add extra rinse by
using the option button.
