Thepositivecable(heavyred wire) is securedto the
positivebatteryterminal(+)with a hexbolt and hex
nut at thefactory.Makecertainthat the rubberboot
coversthe terminalto help protectit from corrosion.

Removethehex bolt and hexnut from the negative
cable.
•
Removetheblack plasticcover,if present,from the
negativebatteryterminaland attachthe negative
cable(heavyblack wire)to the negativebattery
terminal(-) with the bolt and nut.
•
Makecertain thehold-downstrap is in positionover
the battery,securingit in place.See Figure1.
NOTE:If the batteryis putinto serviceafterthe date
shownon top of battery,chargethe batteryas instructed
on page24 of this manualpriorto operatingthe tractor.
Gas

Oil Fill-up
The gasolinetankislocated underthehood and hasa
capacityof 1-1/2gallons. Do notoverfill.

the separateEngineOperator/Owner M anualpackedwith
yourtractor.Readinstructionscarefully.
IMPORTANT: Y ourtractoris shippedwith motoroil in the
engine.However, y ou MUSTcheckthe oil levelbefore
operating.Be careful notto overfill.
