Indicates a fault in the electronic
system, seek the assistance of
a workshop.
Diesel particle filter
8 illuminates yellow.
Illuminates when the diesel particle
filter requires cleaning 3 90.
Engine oil pressure
I illuminates red.
Illuminates when the ignition is
switched on and goes out shortly after
the engine starts.
Illuminates when the engine is
running
Caution
Engine lubrication may be
interrupted. This may result in
damage to the engine and/or
locking of the drive wheels.
1. Depress clutch.
2. Select neutral gear, set selector
lever to N.
3. Move out of the flow of traffic as
quickly as possible without
impeding other vehicles.
4. Switch off ignition.
9 Warning
When the engine is off,
considerably more force is needed
to brake and steer.
Do not remove key until vehicle is
stationary, otherwise the steering
wheel lock could engage
unexpectedly.
Check oil level before seeking
assistance of a workshop 3 108.

Change engine oil

If control indicator A illuminates and
F flashes continuously in the display,
the engine oil has become oxidized.
If the engine oil has become diluted,
control indicator A will illuminate
together with E. The engine oil and
oil filter must be changed and the
service display reset.
The service display reset procedure
must be completed within 100
seconds after switching on ignition.
1. Switch on the ignition, but do not
start the engine.
2. Depress accelerator pedal fully
and hold in this position.
3. Apply brake pedal three times
consecutively.
4. Release accelerator and brake
pedals, then wait 10 seconds
(with ignition on). F extinguishes
from the service display.
5. Turn ignition off and back on
quickly, i.e. within 3 seconds.
If F does not extinguish from the
service display, drive a minimum of
15 km (10 miles) then switch off
ignition for at least 1 minute before
repeating procedure.
