You may save the cost and inconvenience of an unnecessary service call by first reviewing this
Checklist of commonly encountered problem situations.
You will be charged for a service call while the appliance is in warranty if the problem is not caused
by defective product workmanship or materials.
Your new appliance is a carefully engineered product. Many times, what appears to be a reason
to call service requires nothing more than a simple adjustment you can easily make in your own
home.
OCCURRENCE
Range is not [eveL
POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
Poor installation. When range is level, cooktop may appear out of alignment if
countertop is not level.
Weak, unstable floor. Be sure floor islevel and can adequately support range. Contact
a carpenter to correct sagging or sloping floor.
Kitchen cabinet misalign ment may make range appear to be unlevel. Be sure cabinets
are square and have sufficient room for range clearance.
Cannot
move
appliance
easily.
Appliance
must
be
accessible
for
service.
Cabinets not square or are built in too tight. Contact a cabinet maker to correct the
problem.
Contact builder or installer to make appliance accessible.
Carpeting interferes with range. Provide sufficient space so range can be lifted over
carpet.
Entire
range
or oven does not operate.
Make sure cord/plug is tightly into outlet.
Service wiring is not complete. Contact your dealer, installing agent or authorized
servicer.
Power outage. Check house lights to be sure. Call your local electric company for
service.
*Oven
control
beeps
and displays
F1,
Electroniccontrolhasdetectedafaultcondition.
PushCLEARtoclearthedisplayand
F3 or F9,
stop beeping. Program oven again. If fault recurs, record fault number.
Push CLEAR
and contact an authorized
servicer.
Oven
lights
does not work,

Surface
burners
do not light,
Surface control
knob has not been completely
turned to LITE. Push in and turn the
surface control knob to LITE (until burner ignites) and then turn the surface control
knob to tile desired flame size.
Burner ports are clogged. Clean burners. See "To Clean Burner Grates, Contoured
Burner Pans, Burner Cap and Burner Base" under General Cleaning. With the bu met
off, use smalPgauge wire or needle to clean ports or slots.
Gas supply is turned off. Turn gas supply on.
Surface burner flame burns haft way
around.
Burner ports or slots are clogged. With the burner off, clean by using a smalPgauge
wire or needle to lean ports or slots.
Moisture is present after cleaning. Lightly fan tile flame and allow the burner to
operate until flame is full. Dry the burners thoroughly following instructions under
General Cleaning.
