To connect the upholstery cleaner parts to the vacuum hose on a Hoover SpinScrub 50:
1. Place the handle in the upright position (agitator brushes will stop rotating). 2. Fill the Clean Water Solution Tank with HOOVER® Detergent as instructed. 3. Attach the cleaning tool (e.g., upholstery nozzle) to the end of the hose. 4. Plug the unit into a grounded outlet with dry hands. 5. Turn the carpet cleaner on. 6. If needed, remove air from the system by following the "Before using tool" section. 7. To clean: press the tool gently onto the fabric, pull the trigger, and slowly pull the nozzle across the surface. 8. Release the trigger and make additional strokes to remove moisture.
Only use on upholstery marked “W” or “W/S”.

To remove the hood of a Hoover SpinScrub for better cleaning of matted hair, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the cleaner from the electrical outlet. 2. Locate and remove the screws holding the hood in place. There are eight retaining screws, some marked by small arrows. 3. Remove two additional screws on the top of the unit. 4. Once all screws are removed, gently lift and pop off the hood.
This gives access to internal parts for cleaning, including matted hair.

The available parts for older Hoover SteamVac SpinScrub models include hoses, couplers, and other components related to the onboard hose assembly. However, the onboard hose in earlier models was prone to flexing and breaking, which may have led to design changes in later models.
