3. Adiust
nuts (A) on brake rod to lengthen
rod, so that
finger
(X) on idler bracket
assembfy,
holds
belt
straight,
or deflects
belt not
more than
t/8
inch,
between
kclrer pulley
and engine
pulley,
with
foot pedal
fully
depressed
(forward).

19. Lengthen
brake rod to make belt deflect.
4. Readiust
flanged
and Jam nut on brake rod so that brake lock will
hold brake in full
brake position.
Tighten
Jam nut tight
against
flanged
nut to lock flanged
nut in position
on brake rod.
5. Check
belt guides
at engine
pulley.
Belt guides
must ctear belts
by 1/16
inch when clutches
are
engaged.
