TO ADJUST
BAGGER
FULL
LEVER/
PADDLE
1. Before adjusting, tractor engine must be
shut off and parking brake engaged.
2.
For the
heaviest/wet
grasses,
remove
paddle
(3).
3.
For lighter grasses
use the paddle
(3) on
setting
"1", "2", or "3" ("3" being
for the
lightest
or dry grass).
4.
Choose
your
setting
and
rotate
the
bagger
paddle
(3) so that
the desired
number
(setting)
faces
you.
5.
Setting
may be changed
by loosening
fasteners
(4 and 5), removing/rotating
paddle
(3), and tightening
again.
CHECK
TIRE
PRESSURE
The tires on your tractor were overinflated
atthe factory for shipping purposes. Correct
tire pressure
is important
for best cutting
performance.
• Reduce tire pressure
to PSI shown on
tires.

CHECK
DECK
LEVELNESS
For best cutting
results,
mower
housing
should be properly leveled. See "TO LEVEL
MOWER" in the Service and Adjustments
section of this manual.
CHECK
FOR PROPER
POSITION
OF
ALL
BELTS
See the figures that are shown for replacing
motion and mower blade drive belts in the
Service and Adjustments section of this man-
ual. Verify that the belts are routed correctly.
CHECK
BRAKE
SYSTEM
After you learn how to operate your tractor,
checkto see that the brake is operating prop-
erly. See "TO CH ECK BRAKE" in the Service
and Adjustments
section
of this manual.

review
the following
checklist:
_f All
assembly
instructions
have
been
completed.
_f No remaining
loose
parts in carton.
_f Battery
is properly
prepared
and charged.
J" Seat
is adjusted
comfortably
and tight-
ened securely.
_f All tires are properly
inflated.
(For ship-
ping purposes,
the tires were overinflated
at the factory).
_f Be sure mower
deck is properly
leveled
side-to-side/front-to-rear
for best cutting
results.
(Tires must
be properly
inflated
for leveling).
_f Check
mower
and drive
belts.
Be sure
they are routed
properly
around
pulleys
and inside
all belt keepers.
_/Check
wiring.
See that all connections
are
still secureand
wires are properlyclamped.
While learning
how to use your tractor, pay ex-
tra attention
to the following
important
items:
_/Engine
oil is at proper
level.
_f Fuel tank is filled with fresh, clean, regular
unleaded
gasoline.
_f Become
familiar
with
all controls,
their
location
and
function.
Operate
them
before
you start the engine.
_f Be sure brake system
is in safe operating
condition.
_f Be sure Operator
Presence
System
and
Reverse
Operation
System
(ROS)
are
working
properly
(See the Operation
and
Maintenance
sections
in this manual).
