Care and Maintenance TURN THE AIR CONDITIONER OFF AND REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE POWER OUTLET. Air Filter Cleaning The air filter should be checked at least twice a month to see if cleaning is necessary. Trapped particles in the filter will build up and block the airflow. All wall sleeves used to mount the new air conditioner must be in good structural condition and have a rear grille to securely attach the new air conditioner. (FIG. 1) Installing the FRIEDRICH USC sleeve ensures optimal performance of the new air conditioner. -
