Model R31-297570 / serial H54644933....This was purchased over 20 years ago from Sears and has been excellent. Suddenly there is a banging sound when using. Is there a chance that you can help resolve this problem so that we can continue to enjoy our "old but dependable" treadmill?

The E2 Pace 1 error message is not specifically explained in the provided context. However, for error codes such as E1, E20, E21, E22, E23, or E24, the instructions are to remove the key from the console, wait a moment, and reinsert it. If the error appears again, contact Customer Service and do not use the treadmill until the issue is resolved. No specific meaning for E2 Pace 1 is provided.
