-_EPLACING BAI-FERY
_CAUT
ON: Do not short battery
erminals by allowing a wrench or any
)thor object to contact both terminals at
he same time. Before connecting battery,
emove metal bracelets, wristwatch
)ands, rings, etc.
=ositive terminal must be connected first
:o prevent sparking from accidental
;rounding.
1. Lift seat pan to raised position and
open battery box door.
2. Disconnect BLACK battery cable first
then RED battery cable and carefully
remove battery from tractor.
3. Install new battery with terminals in
same position as old battery.
4. First connect RED battery sable to
positive(+) terminal with hex bolt and
keps nut as shown. Tighten securely.
5. Connect BLACK grounding cable to
negative (-) terminal with remaining
hex bolt and keps nut. Tighten
securely.
6. Close battery box door.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
1. Raise hood.
2. Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the
backside of the grill.
3. Replace bulb in holder and push bulb
holder securely back into the hole in
the backside of the grill,
4. Close hood.
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged widng may cause your
tractorto run poorly,stop running,or
prevent itfrom starting.
• Check wiring. See electrical wiring
diagram in the Repair Parts section.
TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 20 amp automotive-typa
plug-in fuse. The fuse holderis located
behind the dash.
TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL AS-
SEMBLY
1. Raise hood.
2. Unsnap headlight wire connector.
3. Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at
sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of
tractor.
4. To replace, reverse above procedure.

TO ADJUSTTHRO'B'LE
CONTROL
CABLE
The throttlecontrol has been preset at
factoryand a(_ustment should not be
necessary.Check a_ustment as described
below beforeloosening cable. If adjustmant is
necessary, proceed as _lows:
1. W'_ engine not running,move throttle
control lever from slow to choke position.
Slowly move lever from choke to fast
position.
2. Check to see if hole in throttle lever and
hole in speed esntrol brecket are aik3_3d.
3. If holesare notaligned,loosen coble
clamp screw and align the hales by
inserting a panci or a 1/4"drillbitthrough
both holes.
4. I%1throtlJe cable up to remove slack and
tighten cable clamp screw. Remove
alignmentpencil or dnl bit.
