Resolution, zoom, and maximum scannable area

The ID information provides you the following values.
R (in dpi) : The maximum scannable area available
MAX
X (in dots) : The maximum main scan value (at the maximum

resolution, 100% zoom)
Y (in dots) : The maximum sub scan value (at the maximum
MAX
resolution, 100% zoom)
Based on these values, you can calculate the maximum scannable area
for various resolution and zoom settings according to the following
