While a DVD video is playing, elapsed play time and chapter number are displayed on the
media center front panel.
Basic DVD operations
• Press Pause to pause a movie
• Press Pause again or press Play to resume playing a paused DVD

Chapter
• Use the stop button (•) to interrupt a movie in play.
• Press • once to interrupt a playing movie. The system holds the movie at the point of
interruption.
Press Play to resume play from the point of interruption.
OR
• Press • twice. Play is interrupted and the system returns to the beginning of the disc.
Press Play to restart the video.
• Press Chapter A to skip to the next chapter on the current DVD Press Chapter
• to skip
to the previous chapter
Seek
• Press Repeat once for REPEAT CHAPTER mode.
• Press Repeat again for REPEAT TITLE mode.
• Press Repeat again to turn the repeat function off (REPEAT OFF).
* Press I<< to scan backward through the current DVD. Press _-_-I t o scan forward.
Eject
• Press Eject on the media center to stop a disc and open the disc tray.

Restricting
access
to video DVDs
The DVD Lock menu allows you to restrict access to video DVDs which may contain inappro-
priate material for certain members of your family. You can get to the DVD Lock menu by
pressing the System button on the remote control. This feature allows you to set up pass-
word access for movies which have a certain rating. For instructions on using the DVD Lock
menu, see "DVD Lock options" on page 51.
