You can record a tape fi'om another VCR or a TV program from a TV that has audio/video
outputs. Connect the camcorder to the VCR or TV.
(1)While pressing the small green button on the POWER switch, set it to VTR and set
DISPLAY to LCD in tile menu system.
(2) Press REC • and tbe button oi1tbe right together at the point where you want to start
recording.
In recording and the recording pause mode, S VIDE() and AUDIO/VIDEO jacks
automatically work as input jacks.
Ifyour VCR or TV has an S video jack, connect using the S video cable (not supplied) [a] to
obtain a high quality picture.

If your TV o1"VCR is a monaural type, connect the yellow plug of the A/V connecting cable
for video to the TV o1"VCR. Connect only the white o1"red plug for audio to the TV o1"VCR.
If you connect the white plug, the sound is L (left) signal. If you connect the red plug, tbe
sound is R (right) signal.
Ifyou are going to connect the camcordec using the Svideo cable (not supplied) [a], you do
not need to connect the yellow (video) ping of the A/V connecting cable [b].
Note on usingthe S video connectingcable
If the S video plug is not provided on your TV o1"VCR, do not connect the S video cable (not
supplied) to the camcorder. Pictmes will not appear.
Note on the recording sound
The dual sound cannot be recorded in this camcorder.
