Setting the Ring Pattern

Your telephone company will assign a distinctive ring pattern to each number when
you order the DRPD service. Follow this procedure to set the fax ring pattern that
matches the pattern assigned by the telephone company:

Make sure you have set the receive mode to <DRPD>. (See
"Setting the Receive Mode," on p. 5-1.)

Press [Menu].

Press [ ] or [ ] to select <FAX SETTINGS> ➞ press [Set].

Press [ ] or [ ] to select <RX SETTINGS> ➞ press [Set].

Press [ ] or [ ] to select <DRPD:SELECT FAX> ➞ press [Set].

Press [ ] or [ ] to select a ring pattern ➞ press [Set].
Ex:

You can select from the following:
- <DOUBLE RING>: Two short rings at regular intervals
- <TRIPLE RING>: Three short rings at regular intervals
- <NORMAL RING>: Ring type of normal telephone line

Press [Stop/Reset] to return to the standby display.
