Installing the Math Coprocessor

You can enhance your system's performance for some
applications by installing a Cyrix Cx83S87-33 math coprocessor.
To install the math coprocessor, follow the instructions in the
manual that came with it or follow these steps:
1. Locate the socket for the math coprocessor. See page 3-5.
2. If there is an option card in your way, remove it. See page
3-16 for instructions.
Before you remove the math coprocessor from its
antistatic packaging touch an unpainted metal surface
on the computer chassis. Do not touch the pins on the
coprocessor. Handle the coprocessor only be the edges
of its case.
3. Remove the coprocessor from its package and inspect it. If
the pins appear bent, do not install the coprocessor.
