Various Playback Modes
To View a Still Picture (Playback Pause)
Press II during
playback.
To resume
playback,
press

To Locate a Scene (Picture Search)

Images
Press EDITSEARCH repeatedly in playback pause mode. If you keep pressing EDITSEARCH, you can view
the playback picture forward (+) or reverse (-).
To View the Picture at 1/5 Speed (Slow Playback) (only with the Commander)
Press I1=.-on the commander
during playback.
To resume
normal
playback,
press D. When slow playback
lasts for about 1 minute,
it shifts to the normal speed
starts automatically.
Notes on playback
• Streaks may appear and the sound may be muted depending on playback mode.
* When still picture mode lasts for about 5 minutes, the camcorder automatically enters stops.
To display the vlewflnder screen indicators on a TV
Press DATA SCREEN on the Remote Commander.
To erase the indicators, press DATA SCREEN again.
Playing Back a Tape with Dual Sound Tracks
• Normally set the Hi-Fi SOUND
switch to the • position.
• When the tape with dual sound tracks is played
back, set the Hi-Fi SOUND
switch to the desired sound, 1 or
2.
* When you connect to a TV using the RFU adaptor
or when the TV or VCR is a monaural
type, set the Hi-Fi
SOUND
switch to 1 or 2.

To use the supplied Remote Commander for playback and camera recording, do the following: (1) Insert
supplied two size AA (R6) batteries with correct polarity. (2) Set W REMOTE COMMANDER on the battery
mounting surface of the camcorder to ON.

sensor away from strong
light such as direct
sunlight
or illumination.
Remote
control with

Commander
may not be effective.
• The command
mode of the Remote
Commander
is VTR2.
Avoid using the Sony VCRs
with the same

mode at the same time.
