• When [VCR HDV/DV I is sel to [AUTOI, and
the signal switches between HDV and DV
hlrlnats, tile piclurc and sound are interrupted
temporarily.
• When lhe recorder is HDR-HC3, st [VCR
HDV/DV] to [AUTO] on lhe recorder and the
player (p. 65).
• When the player and the recorder am both
HDV1080i compatible devices such as HDR-
HC3 and connected with the i.L[NK cable, alter
pausing or stopping and then resuming the
recording, the images will be a bil choppy or
rough at that point.

• Set [DISP OUTPUTI to [LCD PANELI (delaull /'_
setting) when connecting with an A/V
connecting cable (p. 69).
When connecting with the A/V
connecting cable with S VIDEO
(optional)
Uonnect with S VlDE().jack instead of the
video plug (yellow). This connection
produces pictures tnore faithfully. This
cotmectiott produces higher quality DV
format pictures. The audio will not be
output when you connect with the S
VIDEO cable alotte.

/ Prepare your camcorder for
playback.
Insert the recorded cassette.
Slide the POWER switch to turn on the
PLAY/EDIT lamp.
Set [TV TYPE] according to the

Prepare your VCR/DVD device for
recording.
When dubbing to the VCR, insert a
cassette for recording.
Whett dubbing to the DVD recorder,
insert a DVD for recording.

If your recording device has an ittput
selector, set it to the appropriate input

Connect your VCR/DVD device to
your camcorder as a recording
device.

Start playback on the camcorder,
and recording on the VCR/DVD
device.
Refer to the operatittg instructions
supplied with your recording device for
details.
When dubbing is complete, stop
your camcorder and the VCR/DVD
device.
• To record the datc/time and camera settings data
when connected by the A/V connecting cable,
display them on the screen (p. 6g).
• The lollowing cannot be output via lhe _, HDV/
DV interlace (i.LINK):
