Perform low level formatting when you think that the recording/reading
speed of a memory card has dropped. Performing a Iowdevel format on a
memory card erases all data on the memory card. As you cannot retrieve the
erased data, exercise adequate caution before performing a Iowdevel format
on the memory card.

DispJay the [Format] screen.
Follow Steps 1 and 2 on p= 22_
Perform the low leveJ format.
Touch the frame to the left of [Low Level
Format] to display a V _ .
Touch [OK].
A confirmation screen will appear.
Touch [OK].
Low leve! formatting starts.
When low level formatting ends, [Memory
card formatting compJete] will appear.
Touch [OK].
If the [Memory card error] message appears, or if the camera does not work
correctly, performing a low level format may soive the problem. Copy the images
from the memory card to a computer or other device before performing a Iow
Jevel format.
