Using AF to Focus*
Focus the subject.
® Aim the selected AF point over the
subject, and hold down the <_>
button,
_y,, T he Live View image will turn off, the
reflex mirror will go back down, and
AF will be executed,
_y,, W hen focus is achieved, the beeper
will sound.
4 eturn to the Live View image
display and shoot.
® When you let go of the <_> button,
the Live View image will reappear,
® Check the focus and exposure, then
press the shutter button to take the
picture (p.99).
You cannot take a picture during autofocusing. Take the picture enid.
while the Live View image is displayed.
You can move the focusing frame with the <_> keys. To magnify the
area within the focusing frame, press the <_ > Du_on.
Althougn you can set the AF mode to AI Servo AF or AI Focus AR AF witi
stop when the camera re_urns [o _he Live View image d_spJay {s-leD 4}. so
you cannot focus the moving subject.
If you wa_t AF and AE lock to work separately, select the [_1t.;Custom
Functions (C.Fn)] menu's [ShuttedAE lock button] (p.158_ and set it to
[1 : AE BocPJAF].
AF is no_ possible with Remote Switch RS-60E3 (sold separately)
