Each Canon DV Camcorder,
when delivered
to you in new condition
ill its original
container,
is wananted
against defective
material
or workmanship
as
follows:
for a period
of one (1) year tiom the date of original
purchase
(three (3) months
ill the case of the video head part), defective
pa:ts or DV
Camcorders
returned
to a CUSA lhctory service
center
(' CUSA Center")
or an authorized
DV Camcorder
set,lice facility ('Service
Facility"),
and proven
to
be defective
upon inspection,
will be repaired
or exchanged
for new or comparable
rebuilt parts or DV Camcorders
The warranty
period
lbr repaired
or
replacement
parts or DV Camcorders
shall begin upon shipment
of the same, but shall in no event exceed
the original
wananty
period of the defective

DV Camcorder
Non-Canon
brand
peripheral
equipment
and software
which
may be distributed
with

DV Camcorders
are sohl "AS IS", without
warranty
of
any kind by C[SA,
including
any implied
warranty
regarding
merchantability
or fitness
for a particular
purpose.
The sole warranty
with respect
to
such non-(anon
brand
items is given by the manufacturer
or producer

CUSA shall have no responsibility

with incompatible

equipment

incompatible

all defects
encountered
in normal use of the DV Camcorder,
and does not apply in the following

(a) Loss of or damage
to the DV Camcorder
due to abuse,
nfishandling,
improper
packaging
by you, alteration,
accident,
leaking
batteries,
exterior
nicks,
scratches
or dents, electrical
current flucn:ations,
failure to t_llow
operating
instructions,
maintenance
and environmental
instructions
prescribed
in CUSA's
instruction
manual,

by other than a CUSA Center or Ser_,ice Facilib,
(b) Use of parts or supplies
(othe: than those sold by CUSA)
which cause damage
to the DV Camcorder
or ca::se abnormally

The limited
warranty
set forth below

equipment
purchased
in Canada.
This
limked
warranty
is only effective
upon
presentation
of a bill of sale
or other
proof
of purchase
for this
Canon
digital
video
equipment
to a Canon
Service
Facility
when
repairs
are
required
Canon
consumer
video
digital
equipment
is warranted
under
normal,
non-commercial,
personal
use,
against
defective
materials
or workmanship
as follows:
Parts:
Defective
parts will
be exchanged
for
new parts
or, at Canon
Canada's
option,
comparable
rebuilt
parts
for a period
of one

from the
date
of original

Heads
which
will
be exchanged
for a period
