You can change the auto focus frame (AF frame) selection
method. The AF frame will appear when the LCD monitor
is turned on (p. 40).
[] On The camera automatically selects
[] 13 [] between 5 AF frames to focus
[] (Auto Selection) according to the shooting conditions.
[] Of 5 AF frames, the middle one is
OFF selected to focus. This is convenient
[] [] [] (Center) for making sure the focus is exactly
[] where you want it.
rl indicates the AF frame which appears on the monitor
J_ In the [ [] (Rec.)] menu, select 1_ (AiAF).

Select [On] or [Off] using the left or right
button.
3 Press the MENU button.
You can immediately shoot the image using the selected
AF frame by pressing the shutter button instead of pressing
the MENU button.
The autofocus locks to center when using the digital
zoom.
